"Setting Our Sights on Your Vision"
Our Services
Comprehensive Eye Health and Vision Exam:
Our eye exams are among the most thorough in the eye care industry. During our eye exam, evaluation of vision for glasses or contact lenes is just one component. We also test eye muscle function including alignment and tracking, which is essential for proper vision development. We asses color vision, visual fields, and depth perception. Pupil reactions are evaluated to rule out potential neurological related issues. And we also believe firmly in the importance of routine dilation of the pupils (see exam section for more info). During the dilation, we check for many disease which affect vision, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and much more. Also, many people don't realize that we can also detect moderate stages of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and other whole body diseases just by studying the blood vessels within the eye. Doing this type of testing cannot be rushed, which is one reasons our doctors will spend more quality time with you.
When our doctors give you a prescription for glasses, you can feel confident that it will be right on target. We spend the time needed to make sure you have the best, most accurate prescription. In fact, we guarantee it. with our prescription accuracy guarantee if your new glasses don't meet you expectations after 2 weeks of adapting to them, then all you have to do is call. At no extra charge, we will re-check your prescription. If we find any change that will help you we will correct your Rx. And as long as you purchased the glasses from us, we will re-make the lenses at no additional charge. The guarantee is valid for the first 90 days and is limited to 2 re-made lenses. This guarantee does not allow change of frame make model or color..
Our doctors are fully trained to treat, and/or co-manage ocular disease. Common examples include glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, corneal disease, and more, If we discover a need for a surgical procedure during your examination, we will refer you to the most qualified surgeon for the job, and if you wish, we will co-manage your care before and after the procedure with the surgeon. Examples include cataracts, retinal detachment, severe forms of diabetic retinopathy or macular degeneration, or other issues.
Contact Lens Success and Satisfaction Program
Every patient who requires contact lenses will automatically be enrolled in our contact lens success program. We require this no matter how long you have worn contacts in the past. This will include evaluation of current contacts (if applicable) for functional vision, health and comfort. Many people do not realize that contact lenses are FDA -regulated medical devices. They are not one size fits all. Imagine going into a shoe store and asking the clerk for a new pair of shoes, withou telling him your size, brand preference, or what you need them for specifically. If this is the only information you gave him, he would definitely not be able to get the right shoes for you. Like shoes, contact lenses come in many different shapes (i.e. base curves), sizes, have many individualized applications, and also there are better and worse brands. If contacts are fit properly in an appropriate material, the patient is given good education on contact lens care, and the patient follows the instructions then contact lenses are safe and effective. If those conditions are not met however, then there can be risk for potentially serious complications including eye infection, corneal ulcers, and inflammatory disorders of the eye.
At ClearView Family Eyecare, our contact lens success program includes the proper fitting and an thorough education about how to care for your lenses. We also include the trial lenses, sample solutions, and all of the follow-up appointments for up to six weeks. There will be one reasonable fee added on to the inital basic exam and there will be no more fees after that until you order your supply of contacts. The best part is that its guaranteed. If after six weeks of fitting, you are not satisfied witht the comfort or vision of the lenses at that point you can return you trial lenses and we will refund your contact lens fee in full with no questions asked. The only thing we ask is that you follow our recommendations and make a good faith effort to come in on a weekly basis for followup visits. Keep in mind that most people are completely happy after 1-2 followup visits.
The reason we put so much effort into contact lenses at our practice is to minimize out patients risk for unnecessary complications and maximize your satisfaction.
